Every image in Private Distortion is a single optical exposure. A sheet of plastic is held in front of the lens while the shutter opens; light passes through its ridges and warps before it reaches the sensor. The distortion is physical, not digital: built by the material, the angle, and the distance between the sheet and the body in front of it. Nothing is generated, and nothing is added afterwards.
